Tucked away on the rocks at Taylor's Mistake, Christchurch's most popular beach location, sits this unassuming little wooden house. Decades of ocean air and sea mist had stripped away much of the paint, leaving the structure looking as bare as the rocks it sits on.
We used a thistle green colour around the entire building, which is close to pastel and ideal for landscapes. To make the house really stand out, we opted for a peacock blue for the window sills and door, so that the entrance was clearly visible from the rocks below.
All in all, this paint job has added years on to this beach home, protecting against the elements where they're at their most extreme in terms of paint corrosion.
